Who Am I?

I’m Taylor Royals — a musician, songwriter, and live performer focused on creating moments that feel real.

My music lives somewhere between melody and atmosphere, between structure and instinct. I’m drawn to songs that feel honest even when they’re imperfect, and performances that breathe instead of chase perfection. Whether I’m playing solo, looping live, or collaborating with others, the goal is always the same: connection.

I’ve spent years learning not just how to play, but how to listen — to the room, to the song, to the people sharing the space. The direction I’m moving now is less about fitting into a genre and more about telling the truth of where I am, musically and personally.

Taylor Royals Music is where those ideas live:
original songs, live sessions, stripped-down performances, and moments that don’t exist anywhere else.

If you’re here, I hope you hear something that stays with you.

Amelia musical playhouse

The stage has become a second home. At Amelia Musical Playhouse, I've had the privilege of contributing both onstage and behind the scenes—as a pit musician, actor, scenic artist, and volunteer. From performing in productions like Grease, Come From Away, and Once Upon a Mattress to helping bring entire worlds to life through set construction and painting, every production has challenged me to grow as both an artist and a collaborator.

The theatre has strengthened my musicianship, expanded my creativity, and introduced me to an incredible community of performers, technicians, and storytellers. It's an honor to be part of an organization dedicated to creating memorable live theatre and enriching our local arts community.
